My Views on novel Dr Jekyll and Mr Hide- by R.L.Stevenson

Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hide is written by very famous detective fiction writer R.L. Stevenson. The story is of a Dr. Jekyll who invent a liquid and by drinking it one can change him or herself. The novel is psychological and scientific thriller. In which Man's desire for what one is not, what one wants to be but the role in society and restrictions of society doesn't allow ones to live life as one likes. Society has conformed a typical kind of behavior from each member for example a doctor should not visit bar and clubs, he can not loiter in late nights in streets of city. 

 It is a scientific novel, Dr Jekyll is chemist he is experimenting to make a potion which has potential to transform person and personality of the person. And it remain mystery until the end that who is Mr. Hide? Did Dr Jekyll succeed in his experiment ? Did the chemical really work? 

 At the beginning we meet Dr Jekyll working in his lab and trying chemicals one after one. His desire is to invent something great, to invent a chemical that will provide new life to a person who drinks it. Rather experiment on other Dr Jekyll tried on himself and soon we see the transformed version of Dr Jekyll to Mr hide. Hide does all the things which Dr Jekyll could not be able to do because of his position in society and because he is a doctor. In language of psychology it calls split personality, it says all the human beings has two kinds of personality one is social and other is personal. We live in society which Which has its own rules and regulations to avoid chaos in society. Thus most of the life we live a social life and we do lots of  suppression of the personal life desires. The desire to live the personal life is the search of Dr Jekyll and it is completed also, but it created havoc in ones life as well as others too. In hangover or we can say under the effect of that liquid one night Dr Jekyll killed an old person and that accident bring death to him. At the end the friend of Jekyll who is the narrator of the story tells how Jekyll locked up himself in lab and commit suicide.

#Masaan movie review

Recently released Bollywood movie “#Masaan” highly appreciated in ‘Cannes Film Festival’ for its cinematography, symbols, dialogues, acting and storytelling. But, I’m sure most of you haven’t even heard the name of the movie. It was released in last July. Souls are said to be liberated in Kashi, and #Masaan(Smashan). In this way title is symbolic as well as significant. It captures the unique character of a town-Allahabad which has been wrestling with life and death for centuries. Director has presented the place as it is, its beauty and ugliness. #Masaan a desolate place follows two heart breaking tales. One is of Devi whose life condemned after caught in the act(in Hotel With ‘Piyush’). The second plot is of a lower caste boy Deepak, Who falls in love with ‘Shalu’ at first-sight. Very Brief Summary of The White Tiger by Arvind Adiga

The white tiger novel published in 2008 by Indian young writer Arvind Adiga, which won him glittering Man Booker Prize of the year 2008. The novel presents India in quite different and unacceptable way and by and large this India would be unexpected by most Indians. The novel has simple plot that how a poor man from countryside becomes an entrepreneur in present globalizing India.                                     The story is divided in six nights every night he tells the biography of an entrepreneur. Every night a narrator tells the story to a Chinese premier. The way of telling a story is quite different and innovative. In the first night the narrator is listening to the radio, and he listen that a Chinese premier Jiabao is coming to India to know the story of how entrepreneurs are growing in India. The narrator tells he himself is the best example of the entrepreneur. While telling story Balram is narrating a nation by presenting a canvas on which all things occur.
